Important Home Information Pack (HIP) News
An announcement has been made by the new Coalition government to scrap home information packs as a necessary prerequisite to placing your home on the market. The full press release can be seen by following this link: http://www.communities.gov.uk/news/newsroom/1591783. This does not mean that you do not need a HIP, only that under this new legislation it is now not illegal to put your home on the market without commissioning a home information pack. Until the new legislation is fully implemented you can still request a HIP if that is your wish.
Please note that EPC's, and your requirements to obtain one prior to the completion of the sale of your property, are unaffected by this legislation.
Both the Tories and the Liberal Democrats had made it a manifesto promise to scrap a home information packs. Just a week into government this is their first move, and it appears that the full legislation to scrap home information packs will be forthcoming in the reasonably near future. More information, as and when available, will appear on this news page.

Commercial EPC's setback
Our training provider, Property Professionals +, has fallen foul of the economic climate and went into administration on 3rd February. This has caused a major re-evaluation of our short-term objectives, meaning that we are unable to offer Commercial EPCs from our Trading Launch date as planned. Provision of the necessary Certificates to enable us to generate these EPCs is being actively sought. Alternative services have been identified and are outlined on our services page. These services will be available at Trading Launch.
